I wasn't even in the market for new generation consoles yet. I'm at a different stage of my life as an older gamer.
I'm thirty six years old, have a wife and two young kids. I train in Judo and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu as well as have a full time job.
If I didn't train I would game myself to death once the kids fall asleep and i got all my chores done. (It's a bonus to find exercise that you love doing so it's not just a workout.)
I have a huge backlog of PS3 and Xbox 360 games to finish and not a lot of spare time to play.
Right now I'm working my way through the Halo games as I never got around to Halo 2 after my original Xbox console died years ago from the RROD (red ring of death) some time after finishing the original Halo. So I have all these games to play and I was happy to wait for the new generation consoles to drop in price and size.
Then Microsoft went and built a Halo 5 custom special edition console. Halo sound effects replace the usual beeps and in my opinion it's the best looking console ever. Soo much effort has been put into the design of this console. It makes other current special edition consoles look like their designers didn't even try.
So now I have one on pre-order and am looking for PS4's answer to this beautiful console because I have to get both since my gamer wife plays the Playstation exclusive games.
I haven't seen anything that comes close yet and Sony has plenty of special edition consoles.
